Why are my string loops doing this?

Why are my string loops doing this? 2 of the last 3 strings I've made are like this.

Don't know if it is the same reason as what was happening to mine were about a year ago, but I was not keeping enough tension on the server after spinning the arms, allowing the initial loop serving to "relax" slightly and allowing the "gap" to appear....started paying more attention to the initial wraps after spinning the arms...VOILA...GONE!!

Just my thoughts...hope you find out for sure what it is...sure sucks when that happens..I know..I've done a few (well, even more than a few) of them....

I agree not enough tension on the serving tool.

I concur!

I'm with E, though, in that I don't make endless.... But I had this problem on my serving before - adjusted tension and everything is good.

Yep on the tension--at least that's my best guess. I run mine pretty tight, and as far as I know haven't had that happen.

Ok...thanks guys!

I'll tighten the server up a bit for the next one.

I aggree on the tension. When I made endless strings I kept it tight enough that it took a fair amout of effort to wrap the serving. I guess you can get it too tight but I have not found out what that is yet.

I don't mean it in a bad way, maybe,,,, put the beer down while serving???,,,, my vision in my left eye got better once I started takeing the spoon out of my coffee cup. just a thought, I use thin super glue on all my b-50 serving, keeps it tight JEFF W
