I know Hank is a proponent of the low-wrist grip and for many people that may be the natural grip for them, but after trying it seriously for a few days, I have found out it is not for me. A medium wrist grip seems to work better...
In all fairness, Hank shoots mainly longbows and I shoot exclusively recurves ( and compounds when I am building one for someone) and I understand there is a huge difference between these "animals"
After a lot of years finding the best grip for ME, I find out that a Quinn metal riser or a Hoyt #3 "rubber chicken grip" is the grip that reduces the most torque for ME when shooting. Both of these I guess would be considered medium wrist grips. I have a tendency to "heel" the bow when trying the low-wrist grip on my 'curves.
Has anyone else that shoot 'curves tried the low-wrist style with different results? Is it just to me that it feels "cramped"or is it just my "geezeritis" that prefers a medium grip?
