Time to make those funky rocker wedges. After spending some time measuring and such, I decided the best way for me to make the rocker wedge was to start by cutting out a simple triangle 10" long & 3/8" thick. The highest point in the center, tapering to 0" at each end. The protractor said it would be very close to a 4.5˚ angle, so I believed him
I marked the center of a 10 " piece of Walnut, set my taper jig to 4.5˚, and cut. Flipped the walnut end for end and cut again. This will only work if your block is perfectly square.

Once I had the angles cut the next step was to cut the flat side off. Pretty easy really, just eyeball that the blade is cutting even with the end of your fade

The first pair.

They came off pretty darn close to perfect, they just needed a little cleaning up on the disk sander. make sure the table is square.

Cleaning up the flat side & feathering the fades.

Trimming down the butt end
