A little too far "out of the box"? :? Maybe I should run with the new prod design instead for the "something different"?

BTW, bowyer was Bill Kerner. I shoot one of his his Mountain bows. Story goes that ten guys at the archery club pitched in some bucs for him to go into production. A year later, he gave them their money back. So after this design was out in the public domain, Bud Fowkes (deceased Olympic coach) threw a patent at it. I just found this out recently. Turns out that Bud was my first wife,s uncle. (ride em hard, wear them out, trade them in).

"Can I take this Western Pennsylvania urban legend and turn it into a hunting bow?"

I hope so! That is one wild looking bow.

Yea, anybody ever seen anything like them? It seems if you are holding this bow open handed to take advantage of the anti-torque swivel grip, and loose an arrow,
typically the bow falls forward which is usually countered with a wrist strap. Those "nodes" are weights. They keep the the bow vertical. This bow is the first of the batch made. I have a line on another one. The person who has it knows me ( I gave him a beagle). Waiting to hear when I can pick it up to see what changed.

Trux, I'm working on my third generation prod so I have a backup if the razzing gets too intense

I think that would be a good bow for Trux. He doesn't live to far from where the space port is or is going to be. So if any traditional alien bowhunters show up his bow would likely fit in well. LOL
